We’re Neha & Amal — partners in life, coffee, and all things cozy. Mayil started with one simple dream: to create a space that feels like home. The kind of place where you come for the coffee, but stay for the warmth, the convo, and maybe that second cup.
We opened Mayil Coffee House on November 11, 2024, right here in Toronto (870 College St, come say hi!). After falling in love with the earthy, bold flavor of South Indian filter coffee, we knew we had to bring that love — and all the traditions that come with it — to our new home in Canada.
We both grew up as chai kids, but it was South India that truly brewed our coffee obsession. Now, coffee’s not just a drink for us — it’s a love language. A way to bring people together, honor our roots, and build a community that feels like family.
